✓ Custom Composed Portrait
Your pet is painted in a thoughtfully composed pose that captures their personality, not a literal copy of any single photo.
✓ Professional Stretched Canvas
Gallery-wrapped canvas created with archival materials for longevity.
✓ Focused Foreground & Signature Background
My portraits emphasize the figure and immediate foreground, blending evenly into a solid background color. This approach keeps the work visually intentional and economically minded in terms of studio time.
✓ Optional Custom Background Elements
If a specific background or environmental detail is vital to capturing your pet’s individuality, it can be incorporated by request. Because added detail requires additional studio hours, this is discussed and approved during the sketch phase and may affect the overall investment.
✓ Hand-Signed & Dated
Each finished piece is signed and dated by the artist.
✓ Bill of Sale / Certificate of Authenticity
Each piece includes a printed and signed Bill of Sale.
✓ Progress Updates
Photos shared via email throughout the painting process.
✓ Protective Hand Wrapping
Each painting is carefully wrapped in custom butcher-paper packaging to protect the canvas until installation.

1. Initial Consultation
Email me with 1–10 reference photos of your pet, your preferred canvas size (or request a recommendation), your desired timeline, and your delivery address. I’ll respond within 48 hours to confirm details and availability.
2. Working Sketch
Based on our conversation, I’ll create a working sketch that establishes pose, composition, and overall structure. This is also the stage where any additional elements — such as specific background details — are discussed and finalized.
My standard approach focuses on the figure and foreground to keep the painting efficient and intentional. If expanded background detail is important, I’ll outline how this affects studio time and cost before painting begins.
For rush timelines (two weeks or less), working sketches are typically delivered within one business day.
3. Invoice & Approval
Once the sketch is approved, I’ll send a digital invoice through Stripe™.
Full payment is required to begin painting.
4. Painting
I begin the final painting and share progress photos as the work develops. Studio time varies by canvas size and current queue.
5. Delivery
We’ll confirm a final delivery date, time, and location. Your portrait arrives carefully wrapped and ready for display.
Why do your portraits use simple backgrounds?
My work emphasizes form, expression, and presence. By limiting background complexity, I’m able to focus studio time where it matters most — the subject — while keeping commissions economically minded. When a specific environment is essential to the portrait, it can be incorporated and discussed during the sketch phase.
Will the painting match my photo exactly?
No. I use photos as reference to create a composed portrait that reflects your pet at their best. Each piece is an original work of art, not a direct photo reproduction.
How long does a commission take?
Timelines vary by size and current workload. Standard commissions typically require 2.5 weeks from payment to delivery. Holiday and rush timelines should be discussed early.
What is your payment structure?
Full payment is collected after sketch approval and before painting begins.
Can you paint multiple pets?
Yes. Multi-pet portraits require additional planning and studio time. Pricing is available upon request.
Do you only paint dogs?
No — I paint all pets, including cats, horses, birds, rabbits, and others.
Can you work from photos of a pet who has passed away?
Yes. Memorial portraits are approached with particular care and sensitivity.

I work from anywhere between one and ten photos, using them as reference rather than copying any image exactly. I often combine the strongest elements from multiple photos to create a cohesive, composed portrait.
